Primer Coat
RXM Primer Coat is a versatile acrylic primer for interior and exterior wall surfaces. This primer will quickly condition walls that are not paint-ready because of wallpaper paste, torn or delaminated drywall or chalky wall conditions.


RECOMMENDED USES
Can be used on interior wallboard, plaster, concrete block, brick, and wood. Excellent undercoat
primer/sealer for use prior to papering, painting with acrylics, or texturing.

SURFACE PREPARATION
Surfaces to be coated must be clean, dry, and free of wax, grease, dust, mildew, water soluble materials, and scaling paint. Glossy areas should be dulled. New plaster or masonry surfaces must be allowed to cure (30-60 days) prior to priming.All masonry surfaces must be thoroughly brushed with stiff fiber bristles to remove loose particles.


APPLICATION
RXM Primer is a concentrated primer and should be thinned one-part-primer to one-part-clean-water. The primer should be mixed thoroughly after thinning and occasionally during use. Apply in thin even coats with a quality synthetic brush, short nap roller, or spray. Spray Airless: Fluid pressure: 1,500-2,000 psi; tip .017 orifice; filter 50 mesh.


COVERAGE
After thinning with water, the primer should be applied at approximately 300 sq. ft. per gallon. Depending on surface porosity, texture, and application methods coverage can vary greatly.

THINNING/CLEANUP

This product should be thinned with equal parts (1:1) of clean water. Never add other paints or solvents. Clean hands, tools and equipment promptly with warm soapy water. Spray equipment should be given a final rinse with mineral spirits to prevent rusting.


STORAGE
Twelve month shelf life if containers are sealed, upright and stored in a dry place. Maintain temperatures between 45 and 100 degrees F. Skins formed on surface must be removed prior to moving, mixing or using.


USE COMPLETELY OR DISPOSE OF PROPERLY.
Dry, empty containers may be recycled in a can recycling program. Local disposal requirements vary; consult your sanitation department or state-designated environmental agency for information on disposal options.


CERTIFICATION
Formulated without lead or mercury.


LIMITATIONS
Do not apply when air and surface temperatures are below 50ºF (10ºC).

ENVIRONMENTAL/SAFETY
Use only with adequate ventilation. Do not breathe spray mist or sanding dust. Avoid contact with eyes and prolonged or repeated contact with skin. Wear eye protection and gloves during application or sanding. A dust/particulate respirator approved by NIOSH should be worn when sanding or spraying. Close container after each use.
FIRST AID: If you experience difficulty in breathing, leave the area to obtain fresh air.
IN CASE OF SPILL: Absorb with inert material and dispose of as specified under Thinning/Cleanup.
