RXM finishes are created by applying several coats of different RXM Coatings (Primer, Skim, Texture, Eggshell, or Raised Texture) in a specific order. For simplicity we have selected the popular BASIC, STANDARD and PREMIUM finishes. On each of the three links below you will find pictures of the sample finishes. On each of the three pages you will also find details about the coverage rates for each of the finishes. For each of the noted finishes you can calculate the quantity of required material by looking at the coverage rates.

For example STANDARD finish number 2A is achieved by applying the Eggshell finish at 175 SF per gallon and then the Texture coat at 100 SF per gallon. If you had 35,000 square feet of wall space to cover with this finish you would need 200 gallons of the Eggshell finish and 350 gallons of the Texture coat. When doing this calculation please round up to the nearest 5 gallons as all RXM coatings are packed and priced as five-gallon containers. Maintenance Finishes (over previously textured or painted walls) To refresh your RXM coatings or to top coat other Textured or painted walls select the RXM Eggshell finish at 175 sf/gallon. See samples 2e and 2f as examples on the STANDARD finishes page.

Need for RXM Primer Coat If your walls have previously been painted or the walls are chalky, we recommend that you include the RXM Primer as the first coat at 600 square feet per gallon before applying the standard or premium finishes.

Color Options Please note you can select any neutral color for any of the coatings except the primer (white only). In selecting your colors, choose from Benjamin Moore, Sherwin Williams, ICI, or Pratt & Lambert color decks.
